APPXLAB

Small tools, built with unreasonable care.

AppXLab makes mobile apps for thinking clearly, spending deliberately and showing up daily. One person, twelve years of software engineering, and a stubborn preference for finishing things properly.

What we're building

Fig. 02
01 / Cognitive training

Puzzles & mental exercise

Culture-fair visual reasoning — matrices, sequences, spatial rotation and numeric logic — plus a daily challenge and memory games. Fully localised, and every puzzle is drawn rather than photographed, so it reads identically in any language.

02 / Personal finance

Deliberate spending

A budget tracker that stays on your phone. No bank connections, no scraping, no third party holding your transaction history — just a clear picture of where the money went.

Planned
03 / Habits

Showing up daily

Streaks and calendars for the things you actually want to keep doing, without the guilt mechanics and manufactured urgency the category has settled on.

How we build

Fig. 03

Local-first by default

Your data lives in a database on your device. We can't leak what we never collect, and every app ships with a one-tap wipe.

No account, no email

Nothing is gated behind a sign-up. If an app can work anonymously, it does — which so far has been all of them.

A free tier that's complete

Paid tiers add depth, never access. We don't hold your own results hostage, and we don't use a countdown to make you decide faster.

Honest about limits

Where an app estimates rather than measures, it says so plainly and explains its method. Overstating what software knows is the easiest way to lose someone's trust.

Ads that don't interrupt

Where an app is ad-supported, placements sit at natural breaks — never mid-task — and are capped. Paying removes them entirely.

Built to be finished

Accessibility, right-to-left layout and large-text support are part of the work, not a later release. A tool that excludes people isn't done.
